Getting Started with ORCA¶

Welcome to ORCA! This guide will help you get started with bursting Kubernetes workloads to AWS.

Overview¶

ORCA (Orchestration for Research Cloud Access) is a Kubernetes Virtual Kubelet provider that extends your cluster's capacity to AWS EC2 instances.

Prerequisites¶

Before you begin, ensure you have:

• Kubernetes cluster (v1.28+)
• AWS account with appropriate permissions
• kubectl configured to access your cluster
• Basic understanding of Kubernetes pods and nodes
